Business Name: Nancy’s Warm Glass Designs

How would you describe your art?

Some designs are simple. Some are complex, depending on the piece. Continuing to grow and expand medium. I love working with glass because it is so beautiful.

Describe your creative process.

I look for ideas on Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube to get designs and keep up with latest trends. Then put different glasses together to create design. Fire in kiln until I get desired results. Then place in mold and fire again.

What are your favorite materials/mediums to work with?

Right now I love working with glass. Still experimenting with enamels, wire wrapping and dichroic glass. I also attend webinars to learn different methods of working in glass.

When did you start making art and why?

I started doing stained glass in 1989. We moved to other states several times so my creativity was challenged. When I moved back to New Phila, I finally had a place to experiment and learn. I did take classes at Design Glass Studios in Canton.

Do you have any career highlights you wish to share?

In 2012, I was given the privilege of my work being on display at the Zanesville Art Museum – Ohio Artists.
