How would you describe your photography?

I love to photograph just about anything. Nature, landscapes, barns! Animals, old cars, and portraits in the studio. I like to capture the emotion of people and animals in my work.

What inspires you to create?

What I see inspires me to create. Nature is beautiful. People are beautiful when I see a “moment” I try to capture it for others to see and enjoy as well.

What are you trying to communicate with your photography?

Just trying to get them to appreciate the little things. A beautiful country landscape you might drive by everyday, but never take the time to notice – or the love of an older couple sitting on a park bench.

What is your favorite quote & why?

“When you feel like quitting, remind yourself why you started!” Sometimes we get too busy, or overwork or overthink things. When that happens remind yourself why you started, and things will seem much simpler.

Share some of your career highlights.

I have made myself happy – that’s most important, and if my Mom were still here, I know she would be proud. I have won many awards and have been published in many different magazines and publications. I’ve also had many pieces of work chosen by Yan Sun for display at his gallery and have done many local shows. I have now built my own studio to showcase my work and do portrait photography as well.
