Type of Art

Oil, watercolour, coloured pencil, stone carving.

How would you describe your art?

Precise/detailed. I paint a wide variety of subjects. Love to paint nature, landscapes, hummingbirds and structures.

Name some artists that inspire you & why?

Maxmilian Ciccone – his detail especially portraiture is so beautiful and moving. His work brings tears to my eyes.
Brian LaSaga – Beautifully detailed and emotional paintings.
I would love to attain their level of ability.

What are your favorite materials/mediums to work with?

I prefer oils and feel that I do my best in oils. I paint with watercolour as well and love coloured pencil drawing. I carve stone as well – mostly of horses.

What inspires you to create?

I feel my talent is a gift from my creator God and that I need to use this gift he has given me to inspire others, make joy, bring a laugh or maybe a tear.

What makes your process different from other artists?

I have been told by other artists that I use a method they have never seen or that it’s interesting the way I bring a painting together. I’m self-taught so not sure truly what they mean.
